Empowering Voices, Inspiring Change
Hope for Tomorrow is a non-profit human rights organization founded in 2007 with the mission of protecting and empowering the most vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. From the very beginning, we have promoted girls’ education by reaching rural and mobile areas, organizing school workshops on women’s and children’s rights, and raising awareness where knowledge about human rights was scarce.
Over the years, our work expanded to include the protection of girls escaping forced and child marriages, and those at risk of so-called honor killings. Our safe houses became sanctuaries not only for these girls, but also for members of the LGBTQ+ community facing persecution and violence. We believe that every individual has the right to safety, dignity, and love.
Even under the challenges of Taliban rule, Hope for Tomorrow continues its mission by supporting hidden schools for girls, facilitating emergency evacuations, offering psychosocial and medical assistance, and advocating internationally for human rights. We share stories of resilience and hope to make sure that those who are silenced are still heard.
Our vision is a future where no one is left behind — where girls can study freely, women can live without fear of violence, and LGBTQ+ individuals can exist openly and safely. Together with our partners and supporters, we strive to build that brighter tomorrow.

Empowerment Initiatives
Through education, safe spaces, and human rights awareness, we empower girls, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals in Afghanistan to reclaim their dignity, protect their future, and shape a more just tomorrow.
Safe Spaces
We provide safe and welcoming spaces where girls, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals at risk can find shelter, dignity, and support. In our safe houses, survivors of forced marriage, honor-related violence, and persecution are protected while receiving counseling, education, and a chance to rebuild their lives
Advocacy Efforts
Our advocacy campaigns give voice to those who are silenced. We raise awareness about child marriage, gender-based violence, and LGBTQ+ persecution, while promoting girls’ education and human rights. Through international dialogue and partnerships, we amplify Afghan voices to ensure their struggles are recognized and addressed globally.
Change begins within communities. We work directly with local schools, families, and youth to spread awareness about women’s and children’s rights, equality, and safety. By engaging communities in dialogue and education, we plant seeds of resilience and solidarity that grow into lasting change.
