Who are we?

Hope for Tomorrow is a human rights non-profit organization committed to protecting the most vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. Since 2007, we have promoted girls’ education by reaching rural and mobile areas where awareness of rights was limited, holding workshops in schools on children’s and women’s rights. We have provided safe houses for girls escaping forced marriages and those under threat of so-called honor killings. These shelters also became havens for LGBTQ+ individuals facing persecution and violence.

Beyond protection, our mission has always been awareness and empowerment: raising understanding of human rights, standing against child marriage, domestic violence, and gender-based discrimination, and ensuring that even under Taliban rule, girls could access basic education. Hope for Tomorrow continues to advocate internationally, share stories of resilience, and provide life-saving support to those at risk. Our vision is a future where no one is silenced, and every child, woman, and LGBTQ+ person can live with dignity, freedom, and safety.

Hope for Tomorrow is a human rights organization dedicated to protecting and empowering Afghanistan’s most vulnerable communities — girls, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Since 2011, we have promoted girls’ education, supported survivors of forced marriage and honor-related violence, and provided safe houses, legal aid, and psychosocial support.

Even under Taliban rule, we continue to assist at-risk individuals through hidden schools, emergency evacuations, and resettlement support. Today, our mission expands with a new initiative: funding online higher education for Afghan women and girls who have lost access to universities. By providing scholarships, internet support, and digital tools, we help them reclaim their right to learn and build independent futures.

Our purpose is clear: to protect the vulnerable, amplify silenced voices, and create a safer, more inclusive tomorrow through education, advocacy, and solidarity.

At Hope for Tomorrow, we envision a future where every girl, woman, and LGBTQ+ individual in Afghanistan can live in safety, dignity, and equality — free from violence, discrimination, and fear. We strive for a society where human rights are respected, opportunities are accessible to all, and no one is silenced because of their gender, identity, or circumstance.

We are committed to protecting the lives and rights of vulnerable communities, offering safe spaces for those fleeing danger, and empowering survivors to rebuild their futures. We believe in justice, compassion, and the mental and physical well-being of every individual.

Looking forward, our vision expands to restore educational opportunity for Afghan women and girls. Through global partnerships and access to online higher education, we aim to break the barriers imposed on their learning, allowing them to pursue their ambitions, gain independence, and become leaders of tomorrow.

Ultimately, we aspire to build a world where hope is stronger than oppression — and where every person, regardless of identity, has the freedom to learn, thrive, and determine their own path.
